A week of local creativity will take place from February 14-20, 2010 in honor of the City of Netanya’s 81st birthday
Family Album Exhibition
On Sunday, February 14th ,2010 at 19:30 a picture exhibition of city sites from the private collections of Netanya residents will be held in the reception area of the Netanya Culture Center.
Nature and Landscape Photo Exhibition
On Monday, February 15th ,2010 at 19:00 a nature and landscape photo exhibition by the “Or” Day Care Center photography group will be held at the Saquella Art Gallery on 4 Raziel St. Netanya.
Gallopa Rishona Local Literary Salon
On Monday February 15th ,2010 at 20:00, an evening of poetry and prose will take place at the Culture Center. Participants will include: Haya Bentzel, who wrote of a book of poems called “Hayoshevet BeTochi,” Shoshan Vig and Heftziba Goldberg, co-authors of the novel “Le’ehot et Hakra’im” and Yaffa Lorentzi, author of the “Hed Tza’adi” poetry collection.
As part of the artistic program, the vocalist Tobit Katzir, with musical accompaniment by Gilad Shapira. Editor, host: poet and author Shosh Vig. Free admission.
“Le’orech Hayam” – Ofra Haza Songs
On Tuesday, February 16th ,2010 at 20:30, the “Briza” vocalists groups Tzelilei Poleg and Kiryat Hasharon will perform songs selected from the rich repertoire of singer Ofra Haza, z’l, at Beit Yochanan. Musical directing and conducting: Yossi Kirsh. Piano accompaniment: Ashor Elkaiim, host singer: Mital Trevelsi.

Teen Groups Marathon
On Thursday, February 18th ,2010, at 20:00, teenage bands with diverse musical styles will meet at Beit Yochanan. Production: the Youth Council and Youth Division.
Market Event
On Friday, February 19th ,2010 from 10:00-13:00, a happening combining shopping, art and culture will take place at the “shuk” – the city’s outdoor market, with participating street artists, a marketplace photography exhibition, vegetable sculpture, table setting, flower weaving.
Emmanuel Alaluf will perform Mediterranean music, and Yai’ir Delal and his band will perform World music, an East-West fusion.
“Hertzl Awakens”
On Friday, February 19th ,2010, at 10:00, a song tour will take place along the length of Hertzl Street accompanied by stories, music and a bit of history. Meeting place on Haatzmaut Square by the “Esther” cinema, led by Shabtai Piker. Register in advance by phone: 09-8308828, limited openings.
Israeli Folk Dance Marathon
On February 20th ,2010, after Shabbat, at the Shai Agnon School gym, at 20:30, Yossie Nekev and Yisrael Amrani will lead dancing through the night. Free admission
