Ra'anana until mid-March. While she is here, we thought that we would invite her to hold a Book Talk in the Wiz Kids store about her latest book, Five Thousand Years of Slavery published by Tundra Books.

Institute for Secret Jews (Anusim) Studies and Casa Shalom – the Institute for Marrano (Anusim) Studies will host special guest lecturer Libi Astaire, who will speak on "One Queen, Two Masks: The Secret Purim of Spain's Secret Jews" on Tuesday, February 28th, from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Libi Astaire is the author of Terra Incognita, a novel about contemporary Anusim in Spain, and she will discuss why Purim became the Jewish holiday that best expressed the Anusim's secret loyalty to their Jewish heritage. The lecture will be held at the Library of the International Institute for Secret Jews (Anusim) Studies, Netanya Academic College, 1 University Street, Kiryat Yitzhak Rabin, Netanya.
