EVENT - ESRA Adult ADHD Group Interactive Program Feb. 11
From: harleyz on 09/02/2010 @ 08:44
The ESRA Adult ADHD Group would like to invite the entire community to our next monthly Interactive Program.
This month, we will be hosting Dr. Chaim Rubinstein who will explore Interpersonal Communication. This topic is one that affects all of us so even if you don’t have ADHD, know someone who has ADHD or don’t even know what ADHD is (and couldn’t care less), we invite you to come and share this unique learning experience with us.
Dr. Haim Rubinstein has worked as a clinical psychologist for over 20 years, treating adults, children, teens and their families. Much of his work has been in the identification and treatment of those struggling with ADHD and other Learning Disabilities. In addition to individual and family therapy, Dr. Rubinstein runs social skills groups for children and teens and leads workshops for teachers, parents and mental health professionals on promoting social development in youth. He previously worked for four years with the Special Education Services of the Tel Aviv School District and prior to that was the Program Coordinator for Child and Adolescent Services at Quest HealthCare, P.A. in Houston, Texas.
The topic of our evening will be Interpersonal Communication. Communicating with peers, family members and friends is often a complex situation and can become complicated and confusing. The more people participating in the interaction, the more complex it gets. Dr. Rubinstein will speak about four different "channels of communication" and how to tune in to them to improve social interactions. The evening will include his humorous dramatizations, a chance to participate in role-plays and a few games.
